Let off steam, learn and experience the vast natural adventure playground with all your senses – that’s the motto during exciting holidays on our farm in Altenmarkt.

Where does milk come from? How many eggs does a chicken lay? We will not only be happy to answer these questions on our farm, but we will also provide detailed explanations. We like to bring your children closer to nature and are delighted when our little guests can enjoy the freedom at the playground, on our meadows and in the forest. The holiday region of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee is also famous for its leisurely hiking trails and many exciting destinations, like the “Weltcup der Tiere” (world cup of animals) adventure playground in the mountains next to the Gamskogelhütte alpine inn.

Stroke-fest!

Our cows and calves go on holiday too! They don’t go hiking or cycling of course, but spend the summer months from June to September on our open pastures, and maintain the local ski slopes through their grazing activity. You can visit our cow barn at any time.

Pony riding on the farm

Would you like to ride a pony on the Hornergut farm in Altenmarkt? With pleasure! Our little pony likes to go on guided rides in the afternoon with the little ones. A riding stable near the farm offers rides and riding lessons.
